<\/code>There\u2019s a light at the end of the tunnel but you can\u2019t figure out how to get there. You read the books and work your intentions, but things don\u2019t work out the way you want. Most days you can hold the vision and stay in your happy place, but then something happens and you feel powerless and frustrated.<\/p>\n

Do you blow up or melt down?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Stuff happens and results vary. First you take a deep breath, then evaluate and find new ways to reach your goal. But rather than processing and moving on, some people get stuck in a downward spiral. An evaluation of recent events becomes a punishing review as you itemize a lifetime of disappointments.\u00a0 At some point, you\u2019re wearing your victim t-shirt and expecting the worst and wondering when something magical will save the day.<\/p>\n

What happens when you hit a wall?<\/span><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s normal to review. Everyone has unhappy memories. When life doesn’t feel all that fun, it’s hard to want to show up. Lugging around old memories that bring you pain makes you feel defeated and powerless. When your dialog is crying that \u201ccrappy stuff always happens\u201d these are the instructions for your expectations.<\/p>\n

Working your path is similar to strategies for driving in the snow. When you hit a patch of ice, you can’t yank the steering wheel around or you loose control. You have to focus on what you do want. If you stare at the tree or the rock, rather than the road, that’s where you go.\u00a0 In your life, you are the driver of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

When your thoughts make you feel bad, stop, let it go and do something else. Breathe, sing a song, repeat a prayer or poem, clean off a shelf, vacuum the floor, take a walk, watch the birds.<\/p>\n

It may not be possible to go from sad to happy right away. Practice moving from sad to neutral for a while. Practice showing up without spending time anticipating ways things can go wrong. Practice asking for what you want, without simultaneously assuming that it’s impossible.<\/p>\n

Try this invocation when you want to shift your energy or occupy your brain. Say it at least three times.<\/p>\n

I invoke the light of God within.<\/span>
\n I am a clear and perfect channel.<\/span>
\n Love is my guide.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes problems with lack of flow can be more than just mind chatter and bad habits. If you feel that your troubles have become too overwhelming, it could be energetic.
