Power Tools for Healing – Working with Color

Since I spent the weekend under the weather, I had a chance to polish some healing tools. I am definitely feeling better today. (At the end of this post I also have some links to great herbal support. Hopefully you will stay healthy and happy this season, but there are great, effective and non-toxic alternatives to pharmaceutical stuff.)

Visualizing techniques are a fast and easy way to shift physical imbalances like aches and pains. They are especially helpful when nothing else is available and they can be used to augment other therapies. I’ve already written about using the elements for healing. Here are some more techniques to use when you’re under the weather.

When you work with imaging tools, remember the goal. Does something need to be soothed, like a burn or sore throat? Is there something that needs to go away like a throbbing pain or stomach flu?

Using colors

Apply cooling, soothing blue to a painful area for fast relief.  Visualize painting sky blue on an irritated throat. Have a stomach flu or intestinal distress? Let cool blue wash the trouble away. Imagine a cooling blue salve on sunburn. Also, imagine a blue blanket when you need help to fall asleep.

Address goopy coughs with a beautiful orange light to help warm and dry your congested lungs.

Got a chill? Try imagining a pink light on icy feet and hands. (I don’t recommend red; it’s too aggressive.) You can also place your hands on the area and allow that pink energy to flow.

Colors can also help with emotions as well. Try visualizing a shower of pink or orange. Feeling mentally lethargic? Surround yourself with yellow. If you are feeling unsure about what colors to use, white or green, both are great neutrals.

Grounding cords

To relieve pressure, create a grounding cord from the inflamed area to the center of the earth. Feel that pain go down the drain. For sciatic pain, attach the grounding cord to your heels feel the improvement. Headache? Attach the grounding cord to the throbbing area.

Power Tools

There are no limits on available tools. If you have a knife-like pain, imagine pulling out those knives. If something needs to go away, imagine scraping it off. (E.g., for sinus pain: wipe the pressure right off your face.) Want to support the repair of a broken bone? Imagine tiny workers repairing the damage with cement.

Herbal Support

Energy tools are great, but shift happens even faster with support. After you have applied blue light to your sore throat, you might also try Singer’s Saving Grace from Herbs Etc.  Best Throat Spray Ever!

Also, I highly recommend Quantum Cold & Flu. It is an acquired taste, but it’s definitely something you can use before or during to make you feel better fast. Amazing!

There are other great products out there, but I try to always have these on hand. All of these tools definitely helped me this weekend!

Blessings on your healing journey,

Nicole
